What to see in Budafok

We’re excited to share a few of our favorite places in the area with you.

Törley Museum

Törley has been Hungary’s leading sparkling wine producer for nearly 150 years, with international success interrupted by war but followed by revival. The Törley Exhibition showcases this rich history through unique relics, immersive design, and a celebration of sparkling wine culture in Hungary.

Memento park museum

Memento Park is a unique attraction of Budapest. The Statue Park, the Barrack Cinema, the Photo Exhibition, the Stalin’s Grandstand, and the Storage Showroom offer a complex experience for all ages.

The place is Central Europe’s first thematic museum that reminds people of the communist dictatorship and its fall. Memento Park, combined with the nearby attractions is a pleasant leisure and excursion destination.

In the 12-meter visual tunnel under the shark aquarium, the visitors can admire the sand tiger and brown reef shark at their fingertips. In the ray petting aquarium, every visitor can stroke the rays. In the rainforest, above the alligators, tropical rain rains every quarter of an hour.

Where to eat in Budafok

Promontor garden restaurant

Promontor, which evokes the atmosphere of a small Buda tavern in a small part of Budafok, offers an impressive chef's menu, wines from local wineries, and the legendary Caesar's Crumbs made with homemade plum jam. So, no matter how you wander the streets of Budafok, you won't find a better place to relax with local flavors. English menu is available at the restaurant.

Vasmacska Terrace

In the Budafok harbor, on the banks of the Danube, where the doors of the Vasmacska Terasz Restaurant stand wide open, there was already a catering establishment operating in the 1920s.

The restaurant awaits everyone who loves classic Hungarian cuisine dressed in a modern guise, diverse fish dishes, vegetarian dishes, meat specialties, artisanal desserts and refreshing cocktails.
